 Agenda

  • Review of agenda
  • Review last meeting minutes
  • Report by participant:
    • Carlos - SensorML tool UI. Capture inputs from the user using OOSTethys model. Next step is to allow connections with the registry via drop down lists. Having issues setting up the project as a MAVEN. http://mmisw.org/smlmor.
    • Tom O'Reilly - Attended ESONET best practices workshop. Eric Delory was there. Tom was invited to give a talk. Europeans very engage with IEEE 1451 and SWE.  Tom will be incorporating the report. Compusult doing SOS - SIAM adapter. On vacation next week.
    • Jeff DLB -
      • CO-OPS SOS now has SensorML in beta for all sensors, stations (multi-sensor installations), and networks of stations. Comments welcome. See http://opendap.co-ops.nos.noaa.gov/ioos-dif-sos-test/ - scroll down to "Sensor Information."
      • NDBC SOS has SensorML for DART (tsunami) buoys, and will implement other stations this year.
NDBC also has beta-test implementation of event-specific features of interest to get seismic event data from DART for post-event research. Comments welcome. See http://sdftest.ndbc.noaa.gov/sos/foi.shtml . In the drop-down menu, scroll down to select one of the event:tsunami:geophysical entries for more interesting events.
      • ERDDAP has multi-format SOS in beta. Offered formats include IOOS GML, CSV, JSON, HTML, NetCDF, Matlab. Comments welcome. See http://coastwatch.pfeg.noaa.gov/erddap2/sos/index.html and click on an entry in the "SOS" column.
      • ASA has SOS client in beta. Email about this was sent to the OOSTETHYS list on 2009-09-17; see that message for details. Download Java code at http://www.asascience.com/software/downloads/ "Environmental Data Connector SOS Beta (EDC-SOS) stand alone."
      • Others: A lot of remaining issues: vocabularies, other types of data (e.g. trajectories), other sources ( e.g. ships of opportunity), etc.. New person hired working as software developer helping on the registry and viewer. Not sure to move to CSW. Coordinating with NSF CI OOI and other world observing systems to minimize duplication of efforts.
    • Manil Maskey - Finish integrating of team engine withe the registry. Services registered are not passing the team engine test,  and the tests takes too long. He will incorporate the code to the web and send an email or post results to the web.
    • Donna Cote - Tony is working on the report.
    • Luis Bermudez - released a new version of the OOSTethys JAVA toolkit and now all the code is in MAVEN.  Will  move documentation to the wiki.
  • Oceans IE Report  -  in progress. Dave C. started  his section. Tony and tom in progress.
  • Demo - good progress - Tom leading it. Joaquin updated demo slides.
  • Release - version etc.. MAVEN integration - need to make documentation.
