  • Review of agenda - no comments
  • Review last meeting minutes - no comments
  • Update of participants:
    • Manil - integrated team engine with registration.
      • Log generated is big - thinking best way to present this to the user.
      • Most of the OOSTethys services are failing - will send email to the group about it.
      • Geo - spatial information need to add to XSLT
      • Luis - check permissions
      • Luis - send information about due date for report
    • Sameer - got account to access test bed at MBARI. On  Vietnam next week. Will meet with Luis and maybe Tom on  November 2nd. We should support 2 clients RDB and SOS. SOS could have a out of band service for RDB.
    • Tony Cook - started the report. Need to review with Luis
    • Eric Delory - advancing harmonization. Getting response from IEEE 1451 editors. Mapping of Structure to transducer  electronic data sheet  (TEDS) to SML. Then mapping of properties ( time etc..) and protocols. Working with Sea Data Net, UCUM units as define in the GML
    • Carlos - Working on SensorML editor.
    • Luis Bermudez - created a new revision of the OOSTethys toolkit. Participate in SweCommon  and SOS discussions. Pushing for simple encoding and reducing complexity. Working on a presentation for the Oceans Biloxi meeting next week.
    • Oceans IE Report - status / plan now - Dec.
      • New sections were added.
    • Review Topics - what are we going to incorporate in the report ?
      • Topics going to be part of report ( from participants at the call):
        • Topic 2 - Yes. Need to test with visualization tool.
        • Topic 5 - Tony and Luis working on it
        • Topic 6 - Maybe - Sameer - Luis and Tom will work on this Nov 2
        • Topic 8 - Yes - will be showed case with the SensorML Semantic Editor
        • Topic 11 - Yes - Manil finishing the task
        • Topic 16 - Yes part of it.. depends on the feedback ( See Eric's comment above)
        • Topic 23 - It will cover in Topic 5

 

      • Non participants need to check topics for report..
  • Action Items - clean up - separate into "nice if we can do it" - "need to do this year to finish OSIE II" . Actions were prioritize as follows:

  • Carlos - Document in the OOSTethys web site how to use the MMI registry services. - after changing the code.  - going on at the MMI site
  • Manil - add bbox in the metadata response - will send an email to get feedback
  • Manil - add team engine code to OOSTethys google code repository - so we have our own version.
  • Luis - finish template for Systems of Systems (MBARI) - and heterogeneous sensors. 
  • Luis - fix Manil permissions.
  • Luis  - set deadline for report and discuss its type with Carl.
  • Tony - document experience in complex systems - what was done, issues and suggestions.
  • Jeff - review topics and confirm its insertion in the report.
  • Eric Bridger- review topics and confirm its insertion in the report.
  • Tom O'Reilly - review topics and confirm its insertion in the report.
  • Leaders report - advance report

  • Nobody: Improve client tools - look at available tools ( Data Turbine, 52 north OX Framework)
  • Nobody: Develop tools to facilitate creation of configuration files which links to MMI registry to get URI values.
  • David C.: Explore  differences between IDD and Data Turbine.- started
  • Ben talk to Carl about capabilities handling for bug number of resources ( offerings in SOS ) and its relation to catalogs.
  • Carlos - make SensorML simple generator as a MAVEN project
  • Eric - make chart  last 12 hours using Google Chart ( September)
  • Eric - incorporate Q2O in PERL cookbook ( September)
  • Eric - document OOSTethys toolkit use of URNs and advise on how better to use MMI URNs and services.
  • Eric - document use of Smart Bay - how they use PERL tookit in a windows system. 
  • Eric - set up in OpenIOOS a test environment that interacts with the catalog
  • Jeff - will talk to John about strategy about to move forward the IOOS phenomena dictionary, after cleaning IOOS dictionary.
  • Luis - Propose license code and discuss. We at SURA are deciding between Apache License  Version 2.0 and Eclipse Public License v 1.0.
  • Luis  - Recommend vocabularies for data arrays used and SWE Common.
  • Luis - Updating the JAVA toolkit to have a temporary storage of data for improving performance (later)
  • Luis - check CSV created from  IOOS XSLT to see if it aligns with SweCommon OOSTethys (later)
  • Luis - check if wiki page exists about EPSG issue
  • Luis - send change for request about URNs issue
  • Luis - document OOSTethys toolkit use of  URNs and advise on how better to use MMI URNs and services.
  • Luis - start KML  SOS viewer
  • Luis - do data turbine - Java toolkit integration
  • Luis - update links to new CSW registration web site
  • Luis - document - MAVEN and instructions in the Google wiki related to JAVA toolkit.
  • Tom - Find out hosting a luncheon, due dates and cost either at AGU or Oceans Portland.
  • Tony - talk to Mike B about  CF and using UCUM units 
  • Tony - document - use of IDD and SOS
