Updates:
- Tom O'Reilly (by email): Jesper Zedlitz' student has modified the Kiel NCAP code to retrieve driver bytecode from an instrument through PUCK interface; the NCAP then executes the driver. Held discussions with RBR and Axys representative to determine how best to implement PUCK with the SmartBay buoy.
- Eric and Tony chatted this week on Q2O. An initial strategy of how to incorprated Tony's work in PERL toolkit was dicussed. Eric is working on it and will make more progress next week. Added cluster functionality to OpenIOOS map.
- Tony - Issue on Q2O -PERL toolkit is generalizing the descriptions, and adding it to the configuration file. Next step is updating the version from http://www.oostethys.org/ogc-oceans-interoperability-experiment/topics/qaqcsos. Did more work on getting the METAR SOS up. By next week we should see more. OGC testing is using an XML parsing : http://cite.geoenterpriselab.com/teamengine/docs/ctl/ctl.html#overview. Checking to see if we could get the source.
- Carlos - Progress on the vocabulary server, in particular the UI and allowing the register and resolve URNs. Beginning of June is expected a new release.
- Luis - Documented complex systems and license issues. License will be more discussed at SURA next week. Jesper commited on SVN a new JAVA source. Had problem with DODS sever at MBARI. JAVA toolkit will need to store the latest received data.
- Ben - Non technical issues so far about the submitting to OGC NETCDF/CF technologies. Open issue is copyright.
- Jeff DLB (via email) XSLT for conversion of SOS Cap XML to KML will hopefully be sent out next week. We are making some changes, including support for using gml:description as slot for human-readable station name.
- Manil M. (via email) some progress on the CSW SOS registration. More next week.
Open actions (bold=new):
- ALL - check new SOS collection of stations from NDBC.
- Luis - finish template for Systems of Systems (MBARI) - and heterogeneous sensors.
