Minutes weekly call Oceans IE Phase II

Reports:

  • Manil Maskey: Registry is up: http://scoredev.itsc.uah.edu/csw/. Started testing SOS services. Also, he is using HTTP client to access Degree. He also looked at the TEAM ENGINE for error reporting.
  • Tony Cook - Discussed with Mike the issues with units. If uom attribute is being used UCUM should be used and no identifier is needed.
  • Luis Bermudez- Started abstract for Oceans Meeting and advanced the  best practice for title of offering.
  • Jesper Zedlitz - Corrected almost all of the unites test cases of the java toolkit.
  • Eric Delory ( Email) - Minutes of last's telecon and a ppt presentation of a shot at a mapping tool (IEEE - SensorML) have been posted here: http://www.oostethys.org/ogc-oceans-interoperability-experiment/topics/ieee-1451-ogc-swe-harmonization/folder_contents
  • Tom O'Reilly (Email) - Met with Axys engineer to discuss details of PUCK integration into Memorial University's buoy system.

  • Jeff - will talk to John about strategy about to move forward the IOOS phenomena dictionary, after cleaning this dictionary.
  • Luis -check JAVA code at SVN - changes are not in sync. Send an email to the dev group about summarizing changes every week.
  • Luis - finish template for Systems of Systems (MBARI) - and heterogeneous sensors.
  • Luis - Discuss License issue
  • Luis - review the request for 0..n procedure and processes and responses from server (e.g. errors etc..)
  • Luis - continue updating the JAVA toolkit (NETCDF parsing and temporal storage)
  • Luis - check CSV created from  IOOS XSLT to see if it aligns with SweCommon OOSTethys
  • Luis - Document ina separate page the EPSG issue
  • Carlos - select  APIs for accessing vocabularies and incorporate them to the MMI registry.
  • Carlos -  Work with Stephanie to put the vocabularies used at OOSTethys (OGC urns...) at the MMI Registry.
  • Carlos - Recommend vocabularies for data arrays used ad SWE Common.
  • Carlos - helping testing the JAVA toolkit
  • Manil - send screenshots of minimum ISO element that are being mapped from SOS getCapabilities
  • Tony - present issue of best practices for using units to the SWE WG.
  • Tony - post new issue to the google code, related to the use of the JAVA toolkit.
  • Tony - finish the  METAR SOS linking it from IDD.
  • Eric B.- chart 12 hours using Google Chart
  • Eric B. - send  biodiversity project reference to John
  • Eric Q2O - PERL cookbook

  • Luis - Start best practice about encoding of process name using gml:description in the getCapabilities - already update by NOAA IOOS providers
  • Manil - Take a look at the Apache library for using the service via http get- using now
  • Manil  - look at the HTML unit
