OSIE-2 PUCK telecon notes: 6/30/2009
Attendees; Joaquin del Rio, Greg Johnson, Eric Davis, Kent Headley, Tom O'Reilly
Germany:
Ask Klaus for more details on compass.
Which model?
Ask Jesper for more details on PUCK simulator
Nothing from Axys; Greg hasn't heard from him either.
No word about plan B. Greg says they have generic serial card they use, user programmable. Could program them to read PUCK protocol, load driver. Currently we load RBR metatable of commands.
Similar to Dan Toma's approach. Joaquin will ask Dan to send more details.
Greg will talk with Frank, Neil next week (this week is holiday).
Note that STWS doesn't currenty accept 1451 TEDS - need to convince Yuyin and Kang to accept that. O'Reilly will follow up with them.
PUCK plug-in
Manual eject.
Greg - How about when instrument doesn't respond?
RBR keeps a watchdog - measures how long since last successful contact
If times out, they would try softbreak. "Driver loaded" = "info loaded"
O'Reilly to update state diagram
PRDK updates
Johnson says that RS-232 spec does not "officially" accommodate power for the PUCK relay.
New schematic will be included in PRDK
Please review Kent's proposed changes to external PUCK design
Eric Davis -
Axys lost one of their technical people; they've got a lot going on...
They are making some progress though.
Neil returns on July 6.
Buoy deploys two weeks from today.
Will set aside one port for plug-and-work PUCK test.
Will update buoy software while buoy is deployed.
Eric will call Axys on Thursday - hope to have definitive commitment from Axys by next Tuesday
