Oceans IE Phase II topic plan

Goal

Develop SOS visualization clients that:

  • Demonstrates broad SOS interoperability
  • Utilizes the new features developed as part of OIE Phase 2 
  • Improves performance, flexibility
  • Demonstrates the value of SOS interoperability

Road Map

  • Assess current SOS client difficulties in parsing various GetObservation "flavors"
  • Suggest improvements in client parsing, e.g. the use of UCUM for Units of Measure
  • Develop client tools to hightlight SOS time parameters via time series plots.
