Welcome to OOSTethys

We are a community initiative that develops open source tools to integrate ocean observing systems. We try to dramatically reduce the time it takes to install, adopt and update standards-compliant Web services. Please join us [HOW TO CONTRIBUTE].

OpenIOOS Interoperability Test Bed, with more than 1000 platforms.
We test and develop our software with an open-access interoperability test bed. This end-to-end "system of systems" includes over 1000 platforms with real-time data, and its growing fast.

If you have a data system, we encourage you to participate in the network. [JOIN THE NETWORK]

We believe that standards enable innovation, so we work directly with standards organizations. At the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), we initiated an Oceans Interoperability Experiment (Oceans IE) so we could advance the OGC Sensor Web Enablement initiative. We're contributing our lessons learned with an OGC Best Practices document. It's under review and will be hitting the streets soon.

The founders of this project at the SURA Coastal Ocean Observing Prediction (SCOOP ) Program and the Marine Metadata Interoperability project (MMI) are contributing service components for the interoperability test bed. [READ MORE ABOUT US]
